Although Gocompare has a wide range of insurers there are certain ones such as Aviva who do not list their products on comparison sites.

History

Gocompare.com was founded by Hayley Parsons, who is also involved in the company Confused.com. The company itself is based in Newport, South Wales. This company grew really fast and by the end of 2008 has a ranking at number one in the searches online for car insurance comparison services.

Gocompare.com is not as old as one might think, originally launched at the latter end of November 2006. Since that time the company claims in the first two years of trading to have prepared 11.6 million care insurance quotes, which is pretty good going. The quotes themselves range from a very reasonable £60.90 for the year, to a whopping £8995.34. The cheaper quote was for a man in his mid 50’s, where as the expensive quote was for a lad aged 18.
