The first of Sun Life’s offices was first opened opposite the Bank of England in 1810 in London.  In 1900 Sun Life was the first company to offer life assurance to its customers without needing them to have a medical.  The have also been offering their customers life cover solutions since 1979, they have gained a comprehensive knowledge of the market surrounding their customers who are over 50 years of age.  They have for 30 years been continually responding to their customers life insurance needs by offering life cover to the over 50’s which is straightforward.  Today, AXA Sun Life have around 750,000 customers, and have more people still wanting to join.

Sun Life have four main covers, which are:

•    50 Plus Protector Plan
•    EasyCover
•    Bonus Cash Builder Plus
•    Funeral Plan

They have a cover which is called 50 plus protector plan, this is a plan which grows each year and is a good provision to have to leave for loves ones.  This plan does offer some protection against the effect that rising prices and costs have on our lives.  You can opt for this plan as long as you are aged between 50 and 75 years of age and are a resident within the United Kingdom.  Each year your cash sum will grow, as your monthly premiums increase.  AXA Sun Life will pay out the full cash sum on your death (note: you must have been paying into the plan for at least 2 years).  Plus if you die before the initial 2 years then AXA will pay back all the premiums which have been paid, plus half this amount again.  Premiums start from around seven pounds per month and raise to around seventy four pounds per month.  The monthly premium you pay will increase each year by 5%.

The above plans are subject to terms and conditions, which can be found on AXA’s website.  For more information about AXA and for a comprehensive list of products and services which AXA currently have on offer, visit their website at www.sunlifedirect.co.uk.
