AA Golf Insurance

The AA are well known for providing their customers with a fantastic breakdown cover service.  The AA initially began with a group of motoring enthusiasts who met way back in 1905, the AA were initially formed to help motorists avoid the dreaded speed traps formed by police.  As motoring progressed and more people started to purchase cars, the AA also grew, and from just 100 members back in 1905 they grew to have around 83,000 members of the organisation by 1914.  In 1906 they were the first to erect the country’s first ever warning and danger signs and they continued to be responsible for all the road signposting until the early part of the 1930’s, when responsibility was handed over to the local authority.  In 1912 they began inspecting hotels to give recommendation and a star rating.  By the year of 1939 there were around two million cars on the roads of Britain and around 725,000 of those motorists had joined the AA.
