If you are looking to holiday abroad and intend to go skiing or snowboarding, then you will need to make sure that you are covered for any eventualities, which may occur whilst on holiday.  As skiing is seen as an adventure sport, then you will usually need to make sure that your are covered by what is known as winter sports travel insurance.  Most travel insurance companies will offer this sort of insurance as an optional extra on your travel insurance, as winter sports insurance does not usually come as standard on the policy.
